REHAU Seminar on Underground Thermal Energy Storage
Thursday 31 May, 10am to 1pm
26 Store Street, London WC1E 7BT
Underground Thermal Energy Storage involves storing excess summer heat in the ground in order to extract heat more easily in winter. Renewable energy sources such as solar thermal produce most of their heat when it is not required and hence it is often wasted. For this reason, it is becoming increasingly common to use seasonal heat storage to improve the total system efficiency. Expert speakers will provide an overview of different ways to store heat energy underground in summer and to extract it in winter.
- What is UTES?
- What are the benefits of Underground Thermal Energy Storage?
- Who provides UTES?
- Does UTES allow you to earn Renewable Heat Incentive?
