Fifth Generation Heat Networks
Fifth Generation District Heat Networks
There has been a trend to lower the heat distribution temperature with succeeding generations – to lower the heat losses to the ground, and to reduce the need for baulky insulation of piping in the ground.
Fifth generation heat networks with ambient ground temperature circuits do not need to be buried or to have expensive insulation.
Low temperature circuits can provide heat for heating, or accept heat from cooling.
Each building uses a reversible heat pump to meet its own needs.
